For starters, the ZTE Blade V40 Design sports a large 6.6-inch flat display with FHD+ (1080 x 2408 pixel) resolution and a teardrop notch housing its front-facing camera. Also onboard is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, loudspeaker, SIM and microSD slot combo, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. In terms of colour selection, the phone is offered in either Starry Black or Sky Blue. Under its hood is an octa-core Unisoc Tiger T616 chipset with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU, along with a single memory configuration consisting of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Like most phones in the market, especially at its class range, users are provided the option to boost its memory capacity through a built-in tool called Fusion RAM. According to ZTE, this feature is capable of expanding the current RAM capacity up to 5 GB by converting an equivalent amount of storage. The ZTE Blade V40 Design comes with an “all-day” battery capacity of 4,500 mAh, which supports 22.5 W charging via USB-C. Besides that, it also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even NFC connectivity. On the software front, running the phone is the brand’s MyOS 12 platform, which is based on Android 12. As for imaging, housed within the two circular vertical camera islands on the device’s back is a triple camera setup, consisting of a 50 MP primary, a 2 MP macro, and a 2 MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, situated within the notch on its display is an 8 MP selfie camera. The all-new ZTE Blade V40 Design will be available in Malaysia by early next month. Pre-order for the device is set to open starting tomorrow on 25 February until 3 March 2023 via the brand’s official online stores on Shopee and Lazada. ZTE adds that those who pre-order within this period are entitled to receive free gifts from the company, including a moveable table lamp, 3-in-1 USB cable, TPU casing, and tempered glass screen protector.
