As seen from the images provided by the leakster, rather than simply enlarging its external screen, the upper shell of the 2023 Motorola Razr is shown to feature an all-screen design. This is made possible by utilising the display cutout method that’s commonly seen on most Android smartphones. In this model’s case, the cutouts are used to house its two primary cameras and LED flash, which is actually a clever use of the approach. Utilising this enables Motorola to give the 2023 Razr a massive screen-to-body ratio for its outer display, which takes up around 80% of the upper shell. Undoubtedly, this amount of space available is extremely generous, especially for showing multiple notifications or messages. The leak also revealed that the external screen will feature shortcuts to Weather, Calendar, Contacts and so on, implying that users can access these apps through here. Meanwhile, icon notifications and battery indicator are visible on the bottom left of the display, sitting just beside the cutouts for the phone’s cameras and LED flash. Unfortunately, Blass’ leak did not fully reveal the interior screen or the lower shell of this year’s Motorola Razr, though it is very likely that the former might look mostly similar to the one featured on its predecessor. On that note, whether or not it will feature an improved hinge mechanism that fixes the visible crease issue plaguing most foldable smartphones remains to be seen. Meanwhile, specifications for the 2023 Motorola Razr are still anyone’s guess, as the leakster did not provide anything else other than the images. This also applies to the phone’s launch date, which is still a mystery at this time. (Source: Evan Blass [Twitter])
