According to its press release, sign-ups are free of charge, and are also automatically activated when you make a purchase via GrabMart or by scanning an in-app barcode during checkout at one Jaya Grocer’s stores nationwide outlets. Each member will also get an e-card that’s accessible via the Grab app, which can be used to redeem Jaya Grocer e-Vouchers on location. To earn GrabRewards points when making in-store purchases, simply launch the mobile app and then tap on Account. From there, click on Loyalty Programs in order to bring up the Jaya Grocer membership barcode for the cashier to scan. Members earn 0.75 points for every RM 1 spent when they pay with cash, credit/debit card, or GrabPay. GrabUnlimited subscribers, on the other hand, entitles you to earn up to 1.5 points instead. Additionally, the store notes that the expiry date of your GrabRewards points will be extended till the last day of the third month after your last point-earning transaction with your membership. On top of using the points to claim existing rewards offered by Grab, Jaya Grocer members are also eligible to redeem store-exclusive e-Vouchers by presenting the code on their in-app e-card. These include from RM 5 off discounts for 750 points, up to RM 50 off for 7,500 points. Savings will be applied to your bill immediately after redeeming an e-Voucher. Jaya Grocer says it is currently looking to expand its reward offerings to include birthday treats, exclusive event invites, members day sales, and more. However, it did not mention when these new additions are expected to roll out to members. (Source: Jaya Grocer press release / official website)
