These changes will also streamline the amount of data that the telco is giving to subscribers. As it was previously, the Hotlink Postpaid 40 plan actually only gave users 12GB of data a month, with an extra 8GB per month for the first 12 months to prop the first year’s monthly data rate to 20GB. Ditto the Hotlink Postpaid 60 plan, which really just provides 30GB a month with the first 12 months getting a bonus of 10GB. Once this comes into effect, the 30GB and 50GB data allocation that subscribers get is the real quota that will be available throughout their subscription period. On the flip side though, Maxis is doing away with the YouTube passes that you can get with the Hotlink Postpaid 40 and 60 plans. Which is a small price to pay, since the data quota bump that subscribers are getting is greater than the YouTube pass’ allocation anyway. Thanks Kevin Ng TK for the tip! (Source: Hotlink)
