More specifically, it is suggested that the 2023 Mac Pro will be equipped with the top-of-the-line Apple M2 Ultra chip, which is actually pretty surprising. This is especially when it is expected to be released alongside two other rumoured Mac products that are equipped with the newer M3 silicon. Nevertheless, the high-end desktop’s configuration is expected to provide 24 CPU cores and 76 graphics cores, as well as the ability to be outfitted with up to a whopping 192 GB of RAM. Prior rumours from last year claim that the SIlicon Valley giant is developing one of two possible configurations for its next Mac Pro model. One of which is similarly equipped with hardware that has been described by Gurman’s report, but would feature two M2 Ultra chips instead. The other potential setup is said to feature dual highly optimised M1 Ultra chips, which comes with 40 CPU cores and 128 graphic cores. Seeing that Apple has already developed the M2, it’s very likely that the former configuration is more plausible. However, whether the device will come with a single or dual M2 Ultra chip setup remains to be seen. Nevertheless, expect it to be as costly as its predecessor, or perhaps even more. As mentioned earlier, Gurman’s report also mentioned a new iMac model and two MacBook Air variants, that are believed to be equipped with Apple’s rumoured 2023 3nm silicon, the M3. The former product we’ve already covered in our prior report, while the latter is said to consist of 15-inch and 13-inch models. (Source: Bloomberg)
